Many New Appointments at LOreal

The company has announced several new ppointments to its executive committee.

There are a number of changes happening at L’Oreal. Jean Paul Agon, chairman/CEO, has announced several new appointments to the company’s Executive Committee.

Nicolas Hieronimus has been appointed President of the Selective Divisions. He will supervise all the the Selective Divisions, which are: Luxury, Active Cosmetics, Professioanl Products, and The Body Shop. This eladership role has been created to accelerate the Group’s development in all retail distribution networks, leveraging its expertise in each of the distribution channels.

L’Oreal has completed the creation of its new Zones, in order to pursue the deployment of its universalization strategy:

Frederic Roze has been named executive vice president of the Americas zone, which includes North and Latin America. He will also continue to serve as CEO of L’Oreal USA.

Alexandre Popoff has been named executive vice president of the Eastern Europe zone.

Jochen Zaumseil has been named executive vice president of the Western Europe zone.

Alexis Perakis-Valat succeeds Zaumseil as executive vice president of the Asia-Pacific zone. He will also continue to serve as CEO of L’Oreal China.

Jean-Jacques Lebel is retiring, after 30 years at L’Oreal. He has served as president of the Professional Products division since 2005; and in March 2008 he took over the Consumer Products division.

Marc Menesguen, who joined L’Oreal in 1985, will succeed Lebel as preident of the Consumer Products division. Menesguen was appointed managing director of L’Oreal Japan in 2000, and managing director of the Luxury Products division in 2004. He spearheaded the transformation of the Division with the launch of new fragrance brands, and by integrating YSL Beaute. In 2011, Menesguen was appointed executive vice president of strategic marketing, and has led the Group’s digital and marketing transformation.
